#2: What’s the Deal, John?
It is a depressingly true fact that business has traditionally been an all-boys club; it’s only been in the last few decades that women have had any role in the corporate world other than secretaries. And it’s been hard for many women to get into executive positions.
Still, it’s surprising and bleak to read this little factoid. Not only are we not to a point where there’s a reasonable ratio of women to men in management, but we’re barely even to the point where women CEOs outnumber CEOs named John. Hopefully, in a few years we’ll see a real change in this trend.
