#2: What’s the Deal, John?
It is a depressingly true fact that business has traditionally been an all-boys club; it’s only been in the last few decades that women have had any role in the corporate world other than secretaries. And it’s been really hard for a lot of women to get into executive positions.
Still, it’s surprising and bleak to read this little factoid. Not only are we not to a point where there’s a reasonable ratio of women to men in management, but we’re barely even to the point where women CEOs outnumber CEOs named John. Hopefully, in a few years we’ll see a real change in this trend.
