#24: A Groundbreaking Speech
If your child won a big award, like an Oscar, I bet you would be incredibly proud, and I bet you would be glued to your TV, ready to watch her give her big acceptance speech. But what if you were deaf and therefore unable to hear that speech?

That’s what happened with the parents of Louise Fletcher, who won the Academy Award in 1975 for her portrayal of Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. What an amazing moment that must have been for her parents to have a message just for them, thanking them for all they did to support their daughter.
