#26: It’s a Sign
Sign language is pretty fascinating. On the surface, it doesn’t seem very much like spoken language; it’s all silent, relying on hands, arms, and facial expressions to give meaning. But it is a language and is many people’s main means of communicating, and because of that, it has many of the same characteristics that a spoken language has.

I don’t know about you, but I’d love to know what a regional accent in sign language looks like. And I’d love to know whether it’s as nonsensical when people sign in to their sleep as when people speak aloud in their sleep.
