#3: 62,500 Punch Cards, 1955
Can you imagine a world without the technology we have today? Some of you probably can, and yet it seems pretty far away. Back then, punched cards were the most common way businesses and governments record and process data. This photo shows a stack of 62,500 punched cards, and an employee standing next to it for scale. All of this paper would amount to about 4.5 megabytes of data today, and the necessary storage space is a lot smaller now!
