What the Cast of Friday Night Lights Is Doing Today

The young woman who had caused so much pain on Friday Night Lights was portrayed by Nika Kelly, an LA native and only daughter of Aerosmith’s former guitarist, Rick Dufay. After high school, Minka worked in the medical field while also trying to land TV show and movie auditions.

In 2003, she made her debut as an extra on the prelude video for 2 Fast 2 Furious. Five years later, she was given the role of Lyla Garrity on Friday Night Lights. Her most recent film appearance was playing Maureen in 2021’s Lanksy. Minka also has an upcoming film titled Shady Friend, which will be released next year, hopefully.
