What the Cast of Friday Night Lights Is Doing Today

Ornette Howard is Vince Howard’s father, who wasn’t always there when his son needed him most. That was probably for the best, seeing as how it was Ornette who had gotten Vince’s mother addicted to drugs in the first place. When we saw him being hauled off to prison, we couldn’t be any happier.

During Ornette’s final appearance on the show, his son gives him a man-to-man talk about how his father should avoid drugs. His father promises that he’ll never touch the stuff ever again before disappearing from the show for good. It’s a bitter-sweet moment; Ornette swears to make things right but we know that he’s a total scumbag.
