What the Cast of Friday Night Lights Is Doing Today

Mark Gilbert McKinney, who guys by the stage name Gil McKinney, started his acting career in the early 200s. He landed his first role in the movie Jeepers Creepers 2 before appearing on two episodes of The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire. He had landed a handful of TV and movie roles before being cast as Derek Bishop on Friday Night Lights.

After his six-episode appearance on the drama show, he continued landing minor roles on TV and in movies. His most recent movie appearance was in 2014’s Behaving Badly, which was a total flop. As for his latest TV role, he played Barry Langley in an episode of ABC’s The Rookie.
