Even at a young age, it was apparent that Jeremy Sumpter was made for Hollywood. At just 11 years old, he participated in a junior modeling association, he won a pre-teen male model award that same year. Before high school, he and his family moved to LA to help him start his acting career.

In 2003, he won a Young Artist Award for his role in the mini-series Just a Dream. In 2004, he would take home two best-performance awards for his live-action portrayal of Peter Pan. When his time on Friday Night Lights came to a close in 2010, he took on minor roles in a handful of movies, the most recent of which was Stakeout in 2019.
