Don’t hire through a company
Here’s something you should know if you need a website: freelancers can do the job just as well as a large company for a fraction of the cost. You can find evidence of such “outrageous” claims by checking out freelancing websites and seeing a web designer’s profile. The most reputable freelancers probably currently work for a large firm that will build your site for tens of thousands of dollars.

But if you go the freelancer route, you might end up paying just a fraction of his or her company’s quote. If at all possible, go to a freelancing site like Upwork to see what kind of services are available, or speak directly (and privately) to one of the firm’s designers.
