Many people fantasize about working in the entertainment industry. If you’ve longed for fame and fortune, you should begin taking acting classes and performing improv. However, if you do make it in the show biz, either as an actor or a crew member behind the scenes, you should know what you’re getting yourself into.
Working on a film set means remaining on set for up to 14 days an hour, and sometimes more than that. The editing team has to stay locked indoors in front of their computers for days at a time to get the film ready for its release. Worst of all, since you’re so busy, you don’t get to talk to your teammates about anything. Is the paycheck worth it? Probably.
