#36: Internet Slang
Internet slang has been a part of our lives ever since the internet has been a part of our lives; when we’re talking to someone online or texting, sometimes it’s just easier to use abbreviations and different slang words people your age can understand and relate to. You’re probably familiar with at least a couple of abbreviations, such as “brb” which means “be right back” or “lmk” which means “let me know.”
This mom came across one internet slang term she wasn’t familiar with. She noticed her kid left a strange comment on a video of a gorilla throwing its own feces: “mood af”. She texted her kid to ask what that means. It’s hard to explain, but sometimes a video of a gorilla throwing feces encapsulates your mood. That’s a real thing.
