#49: Too Basic
Everyone’s having a great day but Megan. Megan was sent a text confirming her interview at 2 PM for a prospective job. However, things took an unexpected turn after Megan’s interview. At 2:11 PM, the interviewer wrote “It’s a ‘no.’” Megan asked why they weren’t hiring her, to which the interviewer responded “Just not engaging…”

“…And answers were ‘like’ basic.” Firstly, the interviewer put “we’re” instead of “were.” So, to us, they lose all credibility. Secondly, they put a laughing emoji after “basic,” which deducts professionalism points. Why not call Megan to reject her instead of texting her? Or send an email? This company smacks of unprofessionalism, as far as we’re concerned.
