This beautiful and harmless-looking octopus, called the blue-ringed octopus can kill you and quickly. They’re found on the southern coast of Australia and primarily eat shrimps and crabs. When threatened, their blue rings turn bright as a warning to potential predators.
Their venom is called TTX and can paralyze a human in minutes. The lack of oxygen due to paralysis could be lethal if no immediate medical assistance is received. Best to stay away from this guy!
