Questionable Street Names Across the Country

We have a feeling that whoever named this next street sign must have had a very sarcastic personality. Uptha Road in Casco, Maine is a real street. You can imagine the confusion one might experience if you’re ever talking to a local and you ask them what street they live on, only to receive the answer, “Uptha Road.”

We wonder if the word “Uptha” has some sort of significance, or if the person who named this road was just having some fun. Either way, if you live in Maine, it’s got to be nice to know that everything you need is just Uptha Road. Get it? Up the road? We apologize if we just ruined the joke for you.
