Questionable Street Names Across the Country

This one could be confusing if you didn’t know that almost every street around Bozeman, Montana is named for a real person. The story on this Story Street sign is that Nelson Story was Bozeman’s richest man. He was even the inspiration for the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Lonesome Dove.” Now his legacy lives on through Story Street.

Maybe someday a famous author will come out of Story Street; that would be a great origin story. They could write a whole series with different stories about the events that take place on Story Street. We look forward to reading the great tales this person inevitably comes up with.
