Questionable Street Names Across the Country

Having stinky feet can be embarrassing for anyone. For those of us who don’t have the most pleasant-smelling feet, it can be stressful when you enter a new place and are asked to take off your shoes, unavoidably letting out the smell. This next street sign gets us.

While Toe Jam Hill Road gives the impression that it was named after dirty feet, it was actually named after one of the tallest points in Kitsap County, Washington: Toe Jam Hill. In search of even more interesting trivia? Well, Toe Jam Hill was most likely named after a settler by the name of “Torjam.” So it looks like actual toe jam really had nothing to do with it.
