Hot chocolate
When I was young if my mom came across something useless or not fit for purpose she would say “this is as much use as a chocolate teapot!” Heat and chocolate don’t go together unless you’re sipping on a warming mocha obviously. So perhaps we can all be forgiven for this particular mistake?
Hands up if you’ve put your chocolate in the fridge. Yup, me too, and we’ve been misguided. In a similar way to the heat of your hand on the wine glass affecting the flavor of the wine, cold temperatures actually affect the flavor of chocolate. In addition, cold can increase sugar bloom in your slab, which throws off the balance of ingredients.
