Spreading the heat
I’ll leave you here with another microwave-related tiny change that will make a huge difference to your culinary exploits. One of the most annoying things about microwaves is the uneven way in which they often cook things. If you put a portion of casserole in there then you’ll often end up with hot outsides and a cold middle.
There is a way of combatting this common problem, and it’s pretty simple. All you need to do is turn the portion of food out onto a plate or dish and use a spoon to make a hole in the middle. That way the heat will be more evenly spread through the whole dish and you can be eating a tasty lunch in no time at all.
