“No Dogs or Golf”: Odd Rules That Raise Too Many Questions

May 9, 2023 by Jesse Olson

#34: Please Turn Off Your Wipers

This sign addresses something that most drive-thru customers don’t even think about. A lot of people don’t turn off their windshield wipers when they go through a drive-thru during a rainstorm. When they pull up to the window, the gross windshield water can splash onto an attendant. No one wants that!

The staff at this Burger King figured out a nice way to tell their customers that they were being rude. They kindly ask that people turn off their windshield wipers, and we hope that most people follow the instructions. Working a food service job is already thankless enough, but getting splashed with dirty water makes it even worse.
