“No Dogs or Golf”: Odd Rules That Raise Too Many Questions

This sign, created by library staff members, sadly bans all Oreos from library premises. Dear heaven above, what happened in this library to prompt such a sign? We can only imagine the kind of Oreo-related travesty that had to have occurred to prompt an all-out ban. An epic food fight may have started in the stacks, or teenagers may have been smearing the filling all over the book pages. 

We’ll never know for sure, but that doesn’t mean we can’t let our imagination run wild. Although we love the clip art of the red “X” sign over the photo of Oreos, we hope this anti-cookie rule was temporary. It’s sad to think that one Oreo maniac forever ruined the sweet treat for all library patrons. Life’s not fair.
