Beck Hansen, professionally known as just Beck, is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. Born and raised in Los Angeles – the city where Stars are made – Beck began performing during his high school years in local coffee houses and pubs. In 1994, he released his breakthrough single “Loser,” which remains one of his most popular songs to this day.
“Loser” was a bigger hit than anyone had expected, least of all Beck himself; it reached number 10 on the exclusive Billboard Hot 100 singles chart Following the release of “Loser,” which was an international hit, Beck released his first studio album and allowed his career to take off. This year, with 14 studio albums to his name and countless fans, Beck celebrated his 50th birthday.
