M. Night Shyamalan
You might not recognize him, but you must be familiar with his work. M. Night Shyamalan is a philanthropist and an acclaimed filmmaker, known for making films with supernatural elements. His arguably most popular and highest-grossing film to this day is the psychological thriller The Sixth Sense, which was released in 1999 starring Bruce Willis.
Shyamalan started his way in the entertainment industry in the early nineties and released two films before his breakthrough film, the Indian-American independent film Praying with Anger and the comedy-drama film Wide Awake (1998). His success finally arrived in 1999 with The Sixth Sense, for which he received two Academy Award nominations, for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. Some of his other works include the superhero thrillers Unbreakable (2000) and Glass (2019).
