3-Time Season Leader in Steals
Do you remember how we said that the NBA was tougher in the 1980s and 1990s than it is today? This also meant the players were allowed more wiggle room in terms of reaching in and going for steals. During Michael Jordan’s ten years with the Bulls, he won three stealing titles—in 1998, 1990, and 1993.
Michael is currently ranked third in the list of All-Time NBA Steal Leaders. He recorded a total of 2,514 steals, while Jason Kidd has 2,847 and John Stockton has 3,265. While MJ is 751 steals away from topping the list, it’s no less impressive, considering his playing style was focused primarily on scoring.
