Read the refrigerator door: “Check for cat arm before closing.” Then, in the photo below we see a sly cat arm discreetly sneaking through the refrigerator door crack to steal what appears to be lettuce or veggies, or perhaps reaching for something out of sight. Cats are astute creatures. They’re probably smarter than we are. Scratch that – we know they’re smarter than we are.

The best way to deter a feline? Try distracting them with food outside the refrigerator, like kitty treats or a dead mouse you found outside. Perhaps a nice belly rub will suffice. Regardless, the last thing you want is for someone to inadvertently slam the door on a slender cat arm, so this is one important note.
