Bribery Is a Way of Life
Growing up, you probably realized how often your parents bribed you into doing things you didn’t want to do. You probably received a new toy or video game if you finished reading a chapter book in elementary school.
When you become an adult, you thought to yourself, “I won’t need to bribe my kids to do things! I’ll be a much better parent who doesn’t have to spend a nickel to get my kids to do [insert name of activity here]!” Well, good luck with that. You’ll find yourself spending more on bribes than you do on yourself. Kids won’t do things if you don’t incentivize them to do it.
