Financial woes
One major part of adulthood is being financially responsible. This means keeping track of your expenses and knowing how much money you have in the bank. However, this would be nearly impossible to do if you had a landlord like this one. This guy’s landlord didn’t cash checks regularly. He would wait for a pile of checks to come in before cashing them.
What did that mean for the tenants? After writing a check, they’d see that they still had some money in the bank. However, at random times, that money would suddenly be gone. It’s hard keeping track of your money when your landlord doesn’t cash your checks at regular intervals.
