#25: Martick’s Restaurant Francais
Martick’s Restaurant Francais is a now-defunct restaurant located in Baltimore, Maryland. It was housed in a 2,860-square-foot Federal building built in the 1850s, and Martick’s opened there in 1970.

Martick’s was known during its decades in service as an artist’s refuge, with one publication calling it an “isle of Bohemia.” The French restaurant was known for its progressiveness, as it was LGBTQ-friendly during a time when that was still unheard of.
