#16: Mountain Jack’s Steakhouse
As far as steakhouses are concerned, Mountain Jack’s has always been one of the classier ones. It wasn’t the place to get rowdy and cause a scene unless that scene included a wedding proposal. Over twenty Mountain Jack’s locations once served delectable steaks and table-top salad bars.

Most of the remaining Mountain Jack’s locations closed in 2008, but one has found a way to carry on. If you’re craving one of Mountain Jack’s perfectly slow-roasted prime ribs, you’ll have to make the trip to Lafayette, Indiana — a community it has served since 1977.
