#40: Ma Maison
Robin Leach, a celebrity historian, described Ma Maison as a “favorite culinary playground [of] Hollywood’s rich and famous.” Ma Maison was famous for using local ingredients from California farmers and making French dishes with them, creating a whole new type of cuisine.

Ma Maison was known as the restaurant that started the career of famous chef Wolfgang Puck. Its fall from greatness began in the 1980s when its sous chef got involved in criminal activities, leading to its glamorous clientele backing off the restaurant as a go-to get-together spot.
