Stan Musial – 1948 Bowman
Let’s go back to 1948. Stan, The Man Musial, debuted for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1941 on a large field. He played for 22 years in the MLB as a Cardinal and retired as one of its greatest players. It’s unlikely you’ll find a 1948 card, but luck may shine your way.
Stan The Man’s MLB accomplishments are remarkable. He was a three-time MVP (and runner-up three times), two-time Major League Player of the Year, seven-time batting champion, was an All-Star player every year except his first, won three World Series crowns, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1969. His card in excellent condition might sell for as much as $1,000.
