Mullholland Drive
If you have ever seen a David Lynch film, you will know that it is most likely hard to follow (myself included). The film begins with a fatal car crash, causing Laura Elena Harring’s character, Rita to become amnesiac. Along the way, Rita and Betty, played by Naomi Watts begin to investigate Rita’s previous life in order to gain a greater understanding, but they really fall down the rabbit hole as things become more complicated.
David Lynch is well known for the Twin Peaks TV series, whereby a mystery-horror serial drama takes place. Lynch places two characters, Ronette Pulaski and Laura Palmer at the Club Silencio where Rita and Betty visit. Spooky doesn’t cut it, considering that Laura Palmer is meant to be dead whilst Ronette Pulaski still lives. No answers for this one, folks, just more questions.
