Valak, Valak, Valak! Ok, all the demons should be gone now. It seems as though the writers of this film are working off the Beetlejuice logic – call their name out three times and they will disappear. If you have seen this film, you will know how creepy everything about it is. A paranormal investigator, Lorraine Warren is called in to banish a demon that is possessing the body of a nun. Lorraine only realizes towards the end that she already knew its name, as a result of all the hidden messages.
As the movie continues, it becomes clear to the audience that the word Valak has importance, as it keeps showing up in different places. The placement of Valak in each scene is so subtle that if you aren’t on the hunt for Easter eggs, you aren’t going to find them. You know how they say you wouldn’t notice something was there unless it hit you in the face? Yeah, this is that kind of situation.
