Venere Pizzinato-Papo
Venere was born on the 23rd of November 1896 and died on the 2nd August 2011 in Ala, Trentino, Italy, then part of the Austro-Hungarian empire. She was also the oldest person to be born in the Austro-Hungarian empire. Pizzinato moved around a lot in her lifetime due to political reasons and the world wars. However, it was not all bad because as a result, she met her husband, Isidoro Papo and they got married in France.
Her husband died and she never had children of her own. However, she was showered with love by Italian people and was even visited by the President of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano. Pizzininato was the oldest verified person from Italy, living to the age of 114 years, 252 days. She was the world’s third-oldest living person, after Besse Cooper and Chiyono Hasegawa.
