Fact vs. Fiction
Another hot-button issue in the U.S. lately is college and university tuition. It is extremely expensive to attend college in the United States, even if you go to a public university. Tuition for higher education is way cheaper in Europe and other countries around the world, and more people are therefore able to attend. It’s not a fun topic to think about, and this person softened the blow of their student debt criticism with some cat humor.

Many U.S. citizens have to take out student loans in order to attend college, and they can spend years of their professional lives paying off these debts. Spending $50k to attend college sounds pretty wild to a lot of non-Americans. It sounds almost as wild as streets paved in cheese and a country without cats, but only one of them is true.
