Questionable Fashion Choices
We have yet another moment of non-Americans calling us out on our extreme patriotism. This time, it has to do with our fashion choices. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Americans love an excuse to dress ridiculously. The U.S. is one of the very few places where it is commonplace to wear the pattern of our flag on our clothing.

Fourth of July is probably the most popular day to make our flag the main focus of any outfit, but it’s pretty common year-round. Whether it’s ironic or not remains to be determined. Interestingly enough, it’s technically illegal to use the flag on any apparel or as a costume. Based on some of the outfits we’ve seen, we’re not sure how strictly that’s enforced.
