Real-Life Cowboys
Cowboys are a famous symbol of the American West and early American history. We usually think of a lone man riding a horse or lassoing a bull while wearing a cowboy hat, chaps, and spurs. What many people outside of the country don’t realize, though, is that cowboys actually do still exist.
Cowboy culture is alive and well across the country, most commonly in the Southern and Southwestern states. This person pointed out the states of Tennessee and Texas specifically, but it’s definitely not limited to just those two states. If you’re a tourist, you can even visit a rodeo or livestock show to get the full cowboy cultural experience.
