Baked Potato Seller
Today we have ice cream trucks (although they’re also starting to become a thing of the past) or the people selling corn on the cob on the beach. In London during the 1800s, they had potato sellers. These potato wagons were a big hit in urban cities, especially during the winter. The delicious treat had another attracting purpose.

Eating the delicious baked potatoes wasn’t the sole purpose of these obsolete food trucks (or wagons). Much like we’d go into the nearest coffee shop and buy a cup of hot, steaming drink to warm ourselves on cold days, people used to buy hot, steaming potatoes with the purpose of warming their hands.
